Tschaggeny Design specialized in design and manufacturing with a focus on medical products including diagnostics, but we provide solutions for our customers no matter what industry they are in.
Tschaggeny Design uses all relevant Design For X approaches possible such as Design For Manufacturing (DFM) and Design For Assembly (DFA) in their work. TD‘s principal engineer Charles Tschaggeny even developed a Design For X approach to help improve product’s usability called Design For Use. He has applied the Design for Use methodology to medical diagnostics to help designers avoid design issues.

biography
Charles Tschaggeny is the Founder and Principal Consulting Engineer of Tschaggeny Design. He has spent over 15 years in industry and well over a decade in the medical device diagnostics field.
Charles received a master‘s and a bachelor‘s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah.
He was a major contributor to design and development of the BioFire Diagnostics‘ FilmArray Pouch. Before entering the medical device field, he worked as a mechanical engineer at the Idaho National Laboratory where he designed unmanned aerial vehicles and automated mechanisms and systems for high radiation environments.
Charles is fluent in German and can speak Russian at a conversational level in Russian.
